Do you remember the first time you took a hike in the woods? Do you remember the excitement, the mystery, the fear? The cathartic abilities of nature are without match, which is why I want to help people get outdoors. This summer I will be climbing Mt. Rainier with the Summit For Someone Program. SFS uses the monies raised to fund outdoor programs for inner-city, at-risk teens. With your help and my summit attempt, the SFS program will reach teens nationwide providing them the unparallelled experience of connecting with nature. Many SFS teen graduates become outdoor educators and guides, which is a testament to the power of this experience.
