A Walk Into the Woods

Monday, July 15th, 2013

When I die…

Place me in the woods.

Place me next to Her.

Take me back to where I came from.

I want to be food.

Let the proteins in my body become the energy in a growing bear cub.

Let my bones become a new home for insects.

Let my hair help an osprey build her nest.

My afterlife will be the memories that live on in those who loved me.

My soul will rest at peace, as those who loved me were many.

When I die…

Place me in the woods.
